In the heart of the room, a small closet was dismantled, leaving a hole in the beautiful oak flooring. To preserve the rich and warm original color without refinishing, planks from another closet, carrying the same history and patina, were meticulously arranged and installed to fill the vacant space. A walnut divider was introduced for a natural transition, seamlessly blending the repaired area with the rest of the flooring and preserving the room's overall aesthetic.
